Patch Notes – Team Deathmatch, New Events and Advanced Lighting (Mar.19.2020)

    Welcome to the latest official patch notes for Ring of Elysium. Here are the full details:

    New gamemode- Team Deathmatch

    • Introducing the 4V4 TDM- a gamemode that allows you to focus purely on the thrill of gunfights in ROE. In this limited-time mode, players will be put into two 4-player teams to compete in a small arena on Campbell Shooting Range. Eliminating your opponents and earning scores will be your only goal, enjoy the non-stop action!
    • The TDM LTM is available from 18:00 to 22:00 UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) for EU server, and 19:00 to 23:00 PT (Pacific Time) for NA server, and 18:00 to 22:00 GMT+8 (Beijing Time) on every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
    • Team Deathmatch is FPP and grappling hook only. Before the game starts, players can select from 6 tactical abilities and 9 weapon loadouts
    • There’s no “knockdowns” in TDM, when HP goes to zero, players will be directly eliminated and respawn in two seconds. Players drop their loot normally, but the elimination boxes will shortly disappear
    • Players can press “M” to change their loadout mid-game, which will be switched after they respawn
    • There’s a five second grace period after players respawn. However, the grace period will immediately stop if the player fires their weapon
    • Players automatically recover their HP if they haven’t taken any damage for a period of time, any incoming damage will stop the recovering process
    • Each elimination adds 1 point to your team, the team that reaches 50 points first will win the game. If no teams reach 50 points by the game ends, the team with the higher score wins the game

    Real-time Dynamic Global Illumination

    • We have implemented a full real-time dynamic lighting system, bringing a better visual and graphic experience to you
    • The new advanced lighting feature is fully dynamic and real-time, with a corresponding change in both dynamic weather/time periods and dynamic scenarios, making it realistic and natural
    • This feature is only available with the DX12 client, and can be found in the advanced graphic settings

    Badge Collection Event

    • Event period: March 19 to April 8, 2020 (Pacific Time)
    • During the event, obtain gold and silver badges by participating in any gamemode except Training and Custom mode and redeem Rare and Epic weapon skins, and event exclusive supply boxes at the Event Center! Supply box rewards include random weapon skins, traversal equipment appearances, tokens, Adventurer Tiers and experience points
    • Badges can be earned by:
    • Looting airdrops and elimination boxes
    • At the end of each game, the top 12 teams in Squad mode and the top 40 players in Solo mode will be rewarded with badges according to their ranking
    • In Team Deathmatch, badges are rewarded according to the total number of elimination
    • After the event, badge redeem will be closed and all badges will disappear, please redeem them in time
    • Players can obtain up to 100 golden badges and 200 silver badges per day

    Spring Supply Box Event

    • Event period: March 19 to April 8, 2020 (Pacific Time)
    • During the event, play a game round in any limited-time game mode of the day and claim a Spring supply box. Box rewards include Adventurer Character styles (base Adventurer Character is required), M4A1 weapon skin, portraits, vehicle appearances and more!

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue that caused client framerate drops
    • Fixed an issue where textures were loaded too slow at the beginning of a game
    • Fixed several incorrect object models
